Effective and robust case screening for transient stability assessment

摘要: Reducing the computational burden of transient stability assessment (TSA) by filtering out most risk-free faults effectively and rapidly without any false-filtering will be significant especially for on-line uncertainty TSA. This paper presents such a rapid robust case screening algorithm based on Extended Equal Area Criterion (EEAC). The time-varying degree an equivalent image system can reflected comparing analysis results Static EEAC (SEEAC), which neglects all factors, that Dynamic (DEEAC), partially considers factors. stable hierarchically screened with 3 rules. Different sequences performing rules only affect efficiency, but not robustness this algorithm. Excellent performance framework is verified 28 sets data from 7 actual Chinese provincial power systems various operating conditions: unstable contingencies are captured rate cases above 86%. average time 86%-96% reduced to TSA full IEEAC method.
