摘要: The sweet taste of nonnutritive sweeteners has been reported to increase hunger and food intake through the mechanism cephalic-phase insulin release (CPIR). We investigated effect oral sensation sweetness on CPIR other indexes associated with glucose metabolism using nutritive sweetened tablets as stimuli. At lunchtime, 12 normal-weight men sucked for 5 min a sucrose, an aspartame-polydextrose, or unsweetened polydextrose tablet (3 g) no added flavor. three stimuli were administered in counterbalanced order, each separate day at 1-wk intervals. Blood was drawn continuously 45 before 25 after beginning sucking samples collected 1-min Spontaneous oscillations glucose, insulin, glucagon concentrations assessed increments (slopes) fatty acid during baseline period. nature (oscillations: glucagon; slopes: acids) taken into account analyses postexposure events. No significant plasma observed However, there decrease all Only consumption sucrose followed by postabsorptive starting 17 19 min, respectively, sucking. In conclusion, this study suggested that stimulation provided nonflavored is not sufficient inducing CPIR.
