摘要: Aims of the study were to critically examine extent which electricity consumption influences economic growth in Ghana and also determine, if it is that causes or otherwise. The employed Augmented Dickey-Fuller test, Cointegration Vector Error Correction Model Granger Causality test. revealed that, long term, a hundred percent increase power will cause real gross domestic product per capita by approximately fifty-two percent. However, short run, negatively affects capita. again unidirectional causality run from meaning any policy actions taken affect smooth definitely her Therefore, current load shedding due low supply Ghanaian economy negatively, lower production levels, high inflation, rates unemployment standard living. government should invest massively into infrastructure conservation measures meet needs various sectors economy.
