Internet resource discovery at the University of Colorado

摘要: The author discusses aspects of Internet's resource discovery problem: how users specify searches, the difference between discovering classes resources and locating appropriate instances, system-management problems that can be cast as global state issues involved with characterizing efficient distribution information, social issues, especially privacy. Results efforts to address these part Networked Resource Discovery project at University Colorado are presented.
