摘要: Injury has become a major cause of death and disability world-wide. Systematic approaches to its prevention treatment are needed. In terms treatment, there many low-cost improvements that could be made particularly in low- middle-income countries strengthen their trauma systems. These can formalised under "Essential Trauma Care" programme, similar other global programmes for public health problems. World Health Organisation (WHO), leading the initiative this direction, convened meeting at Geneva June 2002, involving Injuries Violence Prevention Department WHO, Working Group Essential Care International Association Surgical Intensive (IATSIC), representatives organisations care clinicians representing Africa, Asia, Latin America. The developed preliminary list services model template skills equipment needed assure them. It is intended used assist individual planning own services.
