摘要: A new water sample collection system was developed to improve representation of solids entrained in urban stormwater by integrating water-quality samples from the entire column, rather than a single, fixed point. The depth-integrated arm (DISA) better able characterize suspended-sediment concentration and particle size distribution compared fixed-point methods when tested controlled laboratory environment. Median concentrations overestimated actual 49 7% sampling column at 3- 4-points spaced vertically throughout respectively. Comparatively, only bottom pipe, 96%. sampler also showed coarser DISA which reproduce average particles over range hydraulic conditions. These results emphasize need for that integrates point properly pipe flow.
