摘要: Cysteine based silver-gold nanocomposite (Cys/Ag-Au NCz) was synthesized, this followed by its characterization using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive (EDAX), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Transmission (TEM). Cys/Ag-Au NCz studied as novel green corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 1M HCl solution at varying concentration temperature gravimetric, Potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), Electrochemical impedance (EIS), SEM, EDAX FTIR. Weight loss, PDP EIS studies confirmed efficient moderately low concentration. The maximum inhibition efficiency of 96 % observed 303 K 300 ppm. acted affecting both anodic cathodic processes adsorption on surface the Langmuir isotherm. data displayed existence protective film steel/solution interface inhibited system. SEM micrograph presence acid better morphology compared to blank solution. UV-Vis FTIR indicates good interaction between surface.
