摘要: Infiltrative gliomas are the most common neoplasms arising in brain, and remain largely incurable despite decades of research. A subset these contains mutations isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1 mut ). This mutation disrupts cellular biochemistry, IDH1 generally less aggressive than wild-type wt ) gliomas. Some preclinical studies clinical trials have suggested that a ketogenic diet (KD), characterized by low-carbohydrate high-fat content, may be beneficial slowing glioma progression. However, not all shown promising results, to date, no study has addressed whether might more sensitive KD.
