摘要: Germ cells (GCs) are critically important as the vehicle that passes genetic information from one generation to next. Correct development of these is essential and perturbation in their often leads reproductive failure disease. Despite importance GCs, little known about mechanisms underlying acquisition maintenance GC character. Using a reprogramming strategy, we demonstrate overexpression ectopic transcription factors embryonic fibroblasts can lead chicken induced primordial germ (ciPGCs). These ciPGCs express pluripotent markers POU5F1, SSEA1, defining proteins, CVH DAZL, closely resembling vivo sourced PGCs instead stem cells. Moreover, CXCR4 expressing were capable migrating gonad after injection into vasculature stage 15 embryos, indicating fate Direct availability vitro would facilitate study well provide potential strategy for conservation genetics agricultural endangered birds using somatic
