摘要: Heavy metals and radionuclides were investigated in the northern coastal zone of Ikaria Island. The collected sediment samples are sandy they contain distinct heavy metal- actinide-hosting minerals. All exhibit low U Th content relative to granitic rocks Aegean islands. enrichment factor indicates an anthropogenic As Pb due boat pigments. radioactivity is mainly attributed 40K (up 1480 Bq kg−1) 232Th radionuclide series. natural lower compared that southern coast where renowned thermal springs located.
