摘要: Objectives The 9/11 World Trade Centre Disaster (WTCD) has resulted in many chronic health problems among survivors. Rescue/recovery workers (RRW), having the highest exposures, would likely be at risk for these problems. We sought to evaluate cognitive impairment RRW with and without prevalent posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which may act as a mediator. Method Health Registry is voluntary longitudinal cohort study. Surveys collected demographics well related exposures outcomes. limited analysis only. WTCD exposure was classified from low very high based on sum of twelve exposures. Cognitive defined by frequency trouble remembering things over prior 7 days, presence and/or worsening memory loss or confusion 12 month period. A PTSD checklist score 44 greater used assess probable PTSD. Results Of 18 932 RRW, 2436 (12.9%) had while 16 506 (87.1%) did not have Among those PTSD, 7.9% group were cognitively impaired, 8.9% medium exposure, 10.3% 14.4% exposure. 33.6% 33.5% 32.5% 38.1% Conclusions In there dose-response increased However, approximately one-third regardless level.
