Treatment Response of Hepatitis C patients to combination therapy of Interferon Plus ribavirin

摘要: To evaluate effectiveness and safety of 24 weeks combination treatment with interferon Ribavirin as initial therapy chronic hepatitis C patients. This study was conducted in Medical unit DHQ Hospital Daggar district Buner from January 1999 to June 2002. three hundered adn fifty consecutive non cirrhotic, patients positive HCV anti bodies by 3rd general ELISA, RNA polymerase chain reaction (PCR)and raised serum amino transferase (ALT) were prospectively evaluated treated alfa 2-b million units subcutaneously injection weekly ribavirin 800 - 1200mg orally daily for followed another 6 months. The checked after 12 then at the end treatment. ALT level 04 weeks, End viral response, sustained response side effect noted. 1) plus is effective terms biochemical virological 2) effects are quite tolerable manageable.
