摘要: The normotensive (Wistar) and spontaneously hypertensive (SHR) rats were examined to assess the response of organism selenium (Se) overdose. Moreover, effect zinc (Zn) vitamin E, i.e. dietary components interacting in many biochemical processes with Se, on Se uptake was evaluated. control group fed an untreated diet, diets two other groups overdosed form sodium selenite (9 mg/kg) supplemented Zn (13 mg/kg). Two experimental a diet at adequate level (0.009 mg/kg); half animals E. results showed significant differences contents between rat strains case Se-overdosed groups, where liver kidney tissue SHR exceeded 3- 7-fold ones. altered by E; no observed. Activities antioxidant enzymes determined animal tissues indicating different patterns according strain, analysed, administered dose. Thus, overdose, for instance, via incorrectly prepared supplement, can result serious imbalances status animals.
