摘要: For accurate segregation of chromosomes during cell division, microtubule fibres must attach sister kinetochores to opposite poles the mitotic spindle (bi-orientation). Aurora kinases are linked oncogenesis1 and have been implicated in regulation chromosome–microtubule attachments2. Although loss kinase activity causes an accumulation mal-orientated dividing cells3,4, it is not known how active corrects improper chromosome attachments. The use reversible small-molecule inhibitors allows activation protein function living vertebrate cells with temporal control. Here we show that by removal inhibitors, controlled mitosis can correct attachment errors selective disassembly kinetochore–microtubule fibres, rather than alternative mechanisms involving initial release microtubules from either or poles5,6,7. Observation dynamics real-time high-resolution microscopy showed mal-orientated, but bi-orientated, move pole as both shorten, followed alignment at metaphase plate. Our results provide direct evidence for a mechanism required maintenance genome integrity division.
