New graphene-CoxZn1−xFe2O4 nano-heterostructures: Magnetically separable visible light photocatalytic materials

摘要: Abstract Magnetic Co x Zn 1− Fe 2 O 4 nanoparticles and -graphene nano-heterostructures were prepared by chemical co-precipitation route ultra-sonication method respectively. The characterization of was carried out thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). TGA predicted the phase formation temperature around 850 °C. XRD FTIR confirmed single cubic structure. Crystallite size as calculated Scherrer׳s formula found 50–70 nm; however determined TEM 35–75 nm. VSM ferromagnetic nature both ZnFe 0.3 0.7 nanoparticles. reduced graphene oxide (rGO) modified Hummer׳s characterized UV–visible (UV–vis) XRD. As rGO utilized for preparation -rGO nano-heterostructures. SEM well dispersed among sheets. Electrochemical impedance (EIS) studies their with showed that exhibit high charge transfer resistance compared to photocatalytic efficiency nanocomposites evaluated using methylene blue model organic compound in presence visible light. more ferrite could be separated recycled conventional magnetic bars easily.
