摘要: Previous studies of the effect vowel context on fricatives show seeming contradictions in case /s/: acoustic analysis shows greatest effect, while aerodynamic relatively little for same subject. In this study, aerodynamic, acoustic, and articulatory data subject producing /s, z/ a variety contexts were compared systematically. The strong /u - u/ exists with /z/ as well /s/, appears to arise from whistle-like source mechanism caused by lip rounding; main tongue constriction does not appear be immune context. Our interpretation constrictions series can generalized include influence rounding, thus: speaker these speaker-like sequences, area vocal tract /s/ is independent but overall vary rounding. seem consistent; both support view that some rounding extends into fricative.
