摘要: The cell glycocalyx is an attractive model for surface modification of liposomes, because its hydrated oligosaccharide layer inhibits nonspecific protein adsorption and can provide specificity towards desired sites. Here, we report on the use lactose as a saccharide to modify liposome examine vesicle size stability. Two kinds lactosyl lipids, including ether-lipid (6a) ester-lipid (6b), which contain octadecyl octadecanoyl lipid tails, respectively, were synthesized their liposomes prepared by extrusion method. effects glycolipid structure, concentration, pore membrane stability investigated at room temperature photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS). All with 5 or 10 mol% lipids had narrow distribution remained stable least one month, comparable 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC)- poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)-liposomes. maximum incorporation into was 15 mol%, compared only ether-lipid. ester-liposomes better exhibited less change than ether-liposomes 20 incorporated. This may be attributed structural compatibility DSPC. PCS results show that structure concentrations are major factors affect stability, while membranes has no influence.
