Clinical and Molecular Evaluation of a Case of Giant Primary Splenic Hydatid Cyst: A Case Report

摘要: Spleen is an unusual location for hydatid cyst. Here we report a case of primary splenic cyst in 41-yr-old Iranian woman from Yasuj, southwest Iran. The patient had been admitted to Shahid Beheshti Hospital because abdominal pain. Abdominal sonography revealed hypoechoic lesion 150 X 130 mm the spleen, suggestive Splenectomy was performed and surgical interventions occupying most parenchyma. She discharged on 5 day her operation. Postoperative diagnosis confirmation done by histopathological, molecular serological approaches. Histopathological evaluation classical laminated layer DNA extracted part PCR amplified. Sequencing analysis product that isolate has similarity with G1 strain Echinococcus granulosus . Patient’s serum positive IgG anti-hydatid antibodies, using antigen-B ELISA.
