摘要: Trimellitic anhydride was reacted with 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether in a mixture of acetic acid and pyridine (3 : 2) at room temperature refluxed 90–100°C, N,N′-(4,4′-diphenylether) bistrimellitimide (3) obtained quantitative yield. 3 converted into diacid chloride (4) by reaction thionyl chloride. Then, six new poly(amide imide)s were synthesized under microwave irradiation domestic oven through the polycondensation reactions 4 different derivatives 5,5-disubstituted hydantoin presence small amount polar organic medium such as o-cresol. The proceeded rapidly completed within 7–10 min, producing series high yields inherent viscosities 0.27–0.66 dL/g. resulting characterized elemental analysis, viscosity measurements, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric derivative thermogravimetry, solubility testing, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. All polymers soluble solvents N,N-dimethylacetamide, N,N-dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, tetrahydrofuran, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
