摘要: Incorporating green areas into urban environments can aid sustainability and enhance the quality of life for those living working in areas. The objective this research is to examine relationship between vegetation its role within consider external forces that are likely cause change. This work will inform land owners Runcorn with respect future management strategies circa 2060. Existing topography complemented by large scale landscaping tree planting guided development Runcorn, a town northwest England. As result, there is, comprehensive open space system comprising playing fields, parks, woodlands greenways. These form vegetative frameworks which were planted across at same time using just one species prescription. trees these vegetated have reached maturity questions being asked about their future. In paper results botanical surveys conducted presented. Species lists abundance readings been used assess impacts predicted climate authors discuss current practices amongst landowners Runcorn. Findings on floral composition diversity demonstrate variations present planting. suggests driving change concludes description measure existing ecosystem services attributed Runcorn’s greenspaces.
