摘要: The ubiquitous surfactants nonylphenol (NP) and its ethoxylates (NPEOs), which are known as endocrine disrupters, have appeared in the lists of restricted chemical substances, monitoring programs, environmental quality standards many countries due to their adverse effects. Recent studies reported alarming levels NP, final metabolite NPEOs, Vietnamese urban waters, whilst response this issue is negligible. With aim addressing how public perceives expects avoid risk disrupting (EDSs), study tested hypothesized roles specific knowledge, general perceived uncertainty using structural equation modelling. findings revealed that different types knowledge played certain explaining perception, acceptability, self-protective response, distinguished by experience amongst public. Evidence mediating role may play decrease perception increase unacceptance has been provided. insights gained from help answer why favor taking non-diet-related measures rather than changing dietary habits, illustrates a comparison with basis health belief model. needs for building cognitive capacity public, particularly pregnant women young mothers, communication concerning contamination linked reproductive highlighted.
