摘要: Aim: The purpose of this study was to find out the prevalence temporomandibular disorder (TMD) in a sample university students and its relationship gender, occlusion, psychological factors. Materials Methods: comprised 196 subjects, aged 18-25 years. TMD degree evaluated using an anamnestic questionnaire. Morphologic occlusion according Angle classification (classes I, II, III). Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS), 14-item self-administered rating scale developed specifically identify anxiety depression nonpsychiatric medical outpatients, used assess levels (HADSa) (HADSd). Statistical Analysis: incidence level, malocclusion, anxiety, both genders calculated as percentages. Association between HADSa, HADSd tested Chi-square test. Results: According our results, 50% subjects had TMD, but it moderate or severe only 9.18% them. No statistically significant association could be found gender occlusion. have with HADSa not HADSd. Conclusion : A high student population; however, most cases classified mild. Of variables studied, TMD.
