摘要: Abstract Several components of mating behaviour were observed in ram lambs between birth and weaning at 8 weeks. Mounting was most common, followed by nosing, flehmen pawing. Ewe exhibited the same behaviours, but fewer nosings pawings. True sexual activity began 9 20 weeks, with first ejaculation about 27–30 kg 140–180 days age. Initially, behaviours expressed order nose, nudge, paw, flehmen, lick, mount ejaculate. With increasing age, occurred earlier sequence pawing later. Competitive related to mounting activity, age total ejaculations. Ram rely heavily on sense smell during their early encounters. experience vomeronasal system assumes considerable importance. Changes behavioural need be considered when testing libido puberal period.
