摘要: Cadmium poisoning in the environment has assumed an alarming problem recent years. Effective antimutagenic agents which can reverse or combat cadmium induced genotoxicity mice have not yet been reported. Therefore, present study, following homeopathic principle of "like cures like", we tested efficacy two potencies a drug, Sulphoricum (Cad Sulph), reducing genotoxic effects chloride mice. Another objective was to determine relative three administrative modes, i.e. pre-, post- and combined pre post-feeding drugs. For this, healthy mice, Mus musculus, were intraperitoneally injected with 0.008% solution CdCl2 @ 1 ml/100 gm body wt (i.e. 0.8 mcg/gm bw), assessed for through such studies as chromosome aberrations (CA), micronucleated erythrocytes (MNE), mitotic index (MI) sperm head anomaly (SHA), keeping suitable succussed alcohol fed (positive) untreated normal (negative) controls. The treated divided into 3 subgroups, orally administered drug prior to, after both injection at specific fixation intervals their analyzed. While CA, MNE SHA reduced series compared respective controls, MI showed apparent increase. pre- Cad Sulph maximum reduction effects. Both Sulph-30 200 able that mode administration found be most effective effect followed by mode.
