摘要: Abstract The carpometric characteristics, major antioxidant components, and activity of three commercial New Zealand tomato cultivars, Excell, Tradiro, Flavourine were studied in a greenhouse over period 8 months. variations the solar radiations received, temperature inside greenhouse, changes fruit load study significantly ( P 0.05 ) affected components tomatoes. total phenolics cultivars ranged from 169 to 579 mg gallic acid equivalents/100 g dry matter (DM) 1684 3340 μ m TEAC/100 g DM, respectively, during period. mean was 62% 39% higher, summer (December–February) than spring (September–November). ascorbic lycopene content varied between 165 252 mg/100 g DM 19 73 mg/100 g 31% lower months at other times study. This indicates that tomatoes can vary considerably with environmental conditions within levels antioxidants grown could be elevated throughout growing season by modifying greenhouses.
