摘要: Gliomas represent more than a quarter of central nervous system tumors and the vast majority all malignant brain tumors. Patients diagnosed with glioma generally have poor prognosis; survival is especially dismal for those harboring high-grade gliomas. With little information on causes, limited treatment options, there an urgent need to better understand underlying pathophysiology gliomas as well validate novel therapeutic avenues. Research in last few years has focused microRNAs (miRNAs) prognostic markers possible targets cancers, including A number reports validated use miRNAs both vitro vivo experimental models clinical studies. Here, we provide up-to-date account role several key prognosis and/or therapy In particular, discuss oncogenic such miRNAs-21, -182, -10b, -106b, -20a -183 tumor suppressor miR-34a, -25, -32, -107, -124 -218 their reported roles The available literature encouraging additional translational studies should be undertaken realizing true potential these small regulatory RNAs.
