Factors associated with quality of life among mothers of children with cerebral palsy

摘要: Aim To identify the factors pertaining to quality of life (QOL) among mothers patients with cerebral palsy. Methods In this cross-sectional study, 203 children palsy were selected using convenience sampling. The World Health Organization's Quality Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF), Beck Depression Inventory, Caregiver Difficulties Scale, Fatigue Severity and a demographic information questionnaire administered these caregivers. Hierarchical multiple linear regression analysis was used detect associated QOL. Results Moderate high significant negative correlations observed between all WHOQOL-BREF domains other measures. demographic/clinical variables controlled, hierarchical run. results indicated that depression, burden care, fatigue, type could significantly predict QOL in mothers. Furthermore, lower tetraplegia than those types disabilities (P Conclusion is negatively impacted by various such as psychological symptoms. Thus, holistic approach, including training (carrying, positioning, feeding, how manage self-care children) interventions, required improve population.
