摘要: Abstract Chromosomes were analysed in peripheral lymphocytes of 24 workers a zinc smelting plant who had increased blood levels lead and cadmium. The number cells with structural chromosome aberrations was significantly as compared 15 controls. observed damage mainly the chromatid type (single breaks exchanges) accompanied by acentric fragments. cannot be causally related to cadmium because additionally exposed zinc. However, from existing cytogenetic data on heavy metals an effect could well deduced, although possible synergistic effects several metal compounds, especially under conditions, vivo, excluded.
