摘要: We present a two-dimensional large-aspect-ratio model for the off-contact screen printing of power-law fluid. extend work White et al. (J Eng Math 54:49–70, 2005) by explicitly including fluid/air free surface that is beneath ahead squeegee. In distinguished parameter limit greatest interest to industry, process quasi-steady on time-scale print and can be analysed in three separate regions using method matched asymptotic expansions. This allows us predict where fluid transfers through screen, point at which it first makes contact with substrate, amount deposited substrate during stroke. Finally, we show shear-thinning will decrease transferred squeegee, but increase substrate.
