摘要: The volume of waste polymer being produced continues to rise. Disposal is difficult and exceeds acceptable levels. purpose this research examine the possibility incorporating into bitumen as a modifier. aim was find recycled modified binders that would be similar proven or augment properties 100 penetration grade bitumen. A wide range polymers were tested, including polyethylenes, polypropylenes, polyetherpolyurethane, ground rubber, truck tire rubber. Tests included viscosity, penetration, softening point, aging, rheology. Stiffness tests on samples bituminous mixes made using selection also formed part program. Although stability problems evident with some bitumen, cases found successful. blend 3% low density polyethylene substituted for 1% styrene butadiene had Polyflex 75, although it lower stiffness. most impressive combination polyethylene, ethyl vinyl acetate.
