摘要: Three activated carbon filters for point-of-use water treatment were tested in laboratory and field studies chemical removal microbiological effects on water. All removed free available chlorine municipally treated to below the limit of detection, but only about 50 70% total 4 33% organic carbon. Standard plate count bacteria effluent increased steadily with time 3 weeks remained elevated over 8-week period study. Total coliform found persist proliferate several days after transient contamination influent Silver-containing suppressed not bacterial growth. Pseudomonas aeruginosa was recovered from effluents all at some during tests.
