摘要: Abstract Prioritising fished stocks for monitoring and assessment is a challenge management of resource-limited fisheries. We developed participatory multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) to prioritise 141 in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, based on their importance fisheries management. The approach aimed to: (1) structure the problem, (2) force consideration objectives at stock level, (3) balance trade-offs generated by competing objectives, (4) differences perceived among managers. Performance scores criteria weightings ten were elicited from two groups managers (commercial recreational), combined into total performance value each stock, ordered infer priority assessment. Stocks with higher values typically had an exploitation status Overfished, Growth-overfished, or Uncertain subject catch quota, because these weighted highly both groups. However, was more sensitive between than variations relative magnitude criteria. list will assist decisions regarding optimal allocation resources research NSW. This MCDA adaptive can incorporate changes priorities through time additional ecosystem components.
