摘要: This paper reports a new, fast, accurate realization of an image-processing method measuring ocular torsion (rotation the eyeball around visual axis) called Video Torsion Measurement (VTM). The is to cross-correlate two grey-level distributions arc iris from separate images using fast image processor card interfaced IBM-AT compatible computer. (Matrox MVP-AT) supplied with library low-level functions for controlling hardware operations board and VTM system software, which written in C programming language, incorporates these interface MVP-AT as well carrying out data-acquisition processing algorithms. These programs: acquire illuminated by single infrared (IR) light source; threshold this order identify pupil; calculate pupil area locate centre centre-of-gravity algorithm; record distribution along 256 pixels long at selected radius centre; carry FFT on (interpolated) grey level distribution; store parameters reference comparable iral other test same eye determine amount torsional rotation relative image. interactive designed operation clinical testing situation minimum operator intervention. has resolution 0.1 deg depending used it been validated ways: measure known rotations artificial iris-like pattern also direct simultaneous comparison measures human those standard 35 mm photographic procedure torsion.
