摘要: The use of lasers for nuclear physics research is widespread and growing rapidly. major impact in structure has come from size shape determinations nuclei far stability via high resolution isotope shift measurements. In addition, systematic data on magnetic quadrupole moments have been obtained the hyperfine splitting resolved laser fluorescence studies atomic spectra both stable unstable systems. tunability, intensity inherent polarization light can be used to polarize reaction studies. rapid efficient with also presents opportunities new physics.
