摘要: Abstract Background A standardized diagnostic protocol for children's vestibular assessment is still missing in daily clinical life. As rotatory chair testing and caloric test are usually not tolerated well by children, the aim of our study was only to evaluate importance practicability video head impulse performed children with without balance problems, but also outline a algorithm problems. Methods Fifty-five aged 3–16 years have been included this prospective monocentric study. Balance assessed using results from health screening examinations participants specific dizziness questionnaire children. The were then divided two groups: group I any sign development disorder II possible signs pathological equilibrium development. Horizontal vestibulo-ocular reflex (HVOR) video-oculography system device (EyeSeeCam©). Gain at 40, 60, 80 ms gain variance has measured. Furthermore, it evaluated how calibration participants, itself accomplishable which difficulties arose during testing. Results Reproducible accomplished 42 (75%). Children no problems history showed median 1.02 (±0.28). significant reduction between 40 found (P  Conclusions Video sensitive efficient years. Therefore, can be easily used as tool detect dysfunction pediatric population.
