Identifying energy discourses in Canada with Q methodology: moving beyond the environment versus economy debates

摘要: Drawing inspiration from the literature on social imaginaries and cultural models, this study explores contending perspectives energy sustainability, moving beyond a simplistic understanding of support or opposition to specific developments. With comparative in three regions Canada, we use Q methodology identify five key discourses issues: (1) climate change is primary concern, (2) maintain economy, (3) build resilience nature local systems, (4) markets corporations will lead (5) renewable sources are path forward.
