The theory and practice of health education applied to nursing: a bi-polar approach

摘要: The authors contend that health education is an intrinsic part of nursing practice. paper outlines two models each with different aims, methods and outcomes these are related explicitly to tensions between the approaches discussed whilst acknowledge both constitute legitimate activity within nursing, it argued emphasis should be given, where practically possible, patient empowerment model.
