Microdosimetric event size distributions in small sites in water vapour irradiated by protons

摘要: The author describes a calculation of the statistical distribution energy deposition events in small spherical sites water (with diameters 1 mu m or smaller unit density material) irradiated by protons. is based on use semi-empirical differential ionisation cross section for vapour given Wilson and Miller, takes into account proton loss straggling transport secondary electrons. Results are irradiations monoenergetic protons with energies from to 20 MeV, set motion interactions 14 MeV neutrons hydrogen.
