摘要: In the present study, various solvent fractions were prepared from root of Smilax china (Liliaceae), which was collected during autumn, and their radical-scavenging activity several antioxidant activities evaluated. The ethyl acetate exhibited highest in all assays. addition, fraction had amount total phenolics (401.62 mg/g). High-performance liquid chromatography analyses showed that catechin epicatechin predominant phenolic compounds fraction. Consequently, our research presented has strongest activities, are correlated with its high level phenolics, particularly epicatechin. Therefore, these results suggest S. china possess excellent thus it a great potential as source natural antioxidant. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS Smilax is commonly known “Ba Qia” (or “Jin Gang Teng”) China, while Pakistan, locally called “Bilri.”Smilax 350 species distributed widely tropical temperate regions throughout world, especially East Asia North America. traditional Chinese medicine, used for treatment diseases, management chronic pelvic inflammation, syphilis, acute bacillary dysentery nephritis. Korea, been remedy inflammatory diseases ischuria. It well rhizome genus pharmacological activities. As S. china, reports describe antimicrobial, antimutagenic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer neuroprotective effect. According to results, properties might be beneficial protection system human body against oxidative damage.
