摘要: The nature of the process energy transfer from a pulse network to mass associated with propagating current sheet in linear pinch discharge is studied experimentally and analytically. efficiency this related ratios line impedance/ average impedance, duration/characteristic acceleration time. Experiments hydrogen, argon, krypton, nitrogen at common ambient density impedance near unity yield efficiencies that exhibit same qualitative variation these as those predicted, but only hydrogen data show good quantitative agreement theoretical values. This failure model for higher molecular weight gases traced existence diffuse patterns flowing region behind sheet, contrary "snowplow" assumption all flows thin sheet.
