摘要: The substrate specificity of a Taxus-derived phenylalanine aminomutase (PAM) was investigated, and the enzyme found to catalyze conversion variously substituted vinyl- aryl-S-α-alanines corresponding β-amino acids. This study shows broad PAM thus demonstrates potential, practical biosynthetic route toward unnatural acid subunits Taxol analogues β-peptides.
