摘要: Abstract The effect of “coping statements” on the rapidity progress through desensitization hierarchies was examined in several cases clinically significant anxiety-based disorders. Using a series single-case experimental designs (relying heavily an alternating treatments element), it shown that (a) coping statements decrease reported anxiety desensitization, (b) these seem to produce greater behavioral gains outside treatment sessions per unit time, (c) gradually begin generalize across stimuli and (d) their effects go beyond those due merely distraction, competing behaviors, or general expectations. present methodology may comprise alternative method, more compatible with ongoing clinical work, for investigation cognitive treatments.
