摘要: A hyperelastic, soft microfluidic film measures bending curvature using a novel non-differential mechanism. Disclosed embodiments of the elastomer-based solution allows for sensing directly on plane and thus eliminates limitations imposed by strain gauge factor (GF) sensor thickness (Z). Due to lithography microfabrication design methods disclosed sensors are elastically (modulus 0.1-1 MPa) stretchable (100-1000% strain). In contrast existing that measure differential strain, present invention arbitrary thickness. Moreover, is composed entirely elastomer (PDMS or Ecoflex® conductive liquid (eutectic gallium indium, (eGaIn)) remains functional even when stretched several times its natural length. Electrical resistance in embedded eGaIn microchannel measured as function variety designs.
