摘要: A process for closing pores in a heated steam swept zone of formation having zones varying permeabilities where temperature activated aqueous gellable mixture is utilized following flooding or stimulation enhanced oil recovery method. After being placed into the permeabilities, above 300° F. activates components which causes solid gel to form closes zone. spacer volume cold water pumped remove any ungelled mixture. Steam directed an unswept and hydrocarbonaceous fluids recovered therefrom. Polymers include polyvinyl alcohol polyacrylamide cross-linked with phenol aldehyde producing compound sufficient phenolic resin situ.
