摘要: Abstract The chronology of the Holocene and late Pleistocene deposits northeastern Mojave Desert have been largely obtained using radiocarbon ages. Our study refines extends this framework optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) to date from Valjean Valley, Silurian Lake Playa, Red Pass, California Valley. Of particular interest are eolian fine silts incorporated in ground-water discharge (GWD) bracketed at 185–140 20–50 ka. Alluvial fan proved amenable for OSL by dating both sand lenses reworked a matrix gravel that occurs within stratigraphy. Lacustrine spits bars also yielded acceptable These ages fill gaps geochronology desert deposits, which can provide data relevant understanding responses several depositional systems regional changes climate. This identifies most promising future suggests regions Desert, sediments previously undated landforms be more accurately placed correct geologic map units.
