摘要: Cochlear implants (CIs) in small children who do not yet have a firm footing first language acquisition are an on-going experiment with human subjects, the sense that risks involved been properly identified, much less assessed, due to failure focus on biology of and its role acquisition. Too often, developmental cognitive milestones deaf child right considered, we risk contributing cases linguistic deprivation all ensuing consequences. We propose immediate remedy: teach sign language, along training speech speech-reading.
