摘要: Incubation of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) marrow for 10 days in vitro causes a marked and selective loss very primitive Philadelphia chromosome (Ph)+ as compared with Ph- progenitors. We have autografted 22 patients CML (16 first phase [group 1] 6 more advanced disease 2]) treated this way to facilitate restoration hematopoiesis after intensive therapy. Hematologic recovery greater than 0.5 x 10(9)/L neutrophils occurred 16 patients, 20 platelets 15 21 evaluable at median 29 48 postautograft, respectively. Regenerating cells were 100% 13 75% 94% 3. Between 4 36 months (median 12) Ph+ became detectable all but 1 (who died remission) the who achieved complete cytogenetic remission. Four 7 low-dose interferon alpha returned Thirteen group (81%) are alive 1.0 5.7 years 2.6) autografting: remission, 2 hematologic phase, blast phase. Three (50%) 2.6, 3.8, 4.3 partial accelerated Thus, autografts cultured can result prolonged some CML.
