摘要: With the discovery that surgical separation of cerebral hemispheres produces two independent and differently abled cognitive spheres, Gazzaniga, Bogen, Sperry (1962) launched a revolution in field psychology: study human laterality. More than thirty-five years later, scientific progeny Roger continue to split-brain patients order solve some many mysteries confronting neuroscience today. Historically, studies catalyzed research on hemispheric differences neurologicall y intact subjects. recently, bisected brain has served as proving ground for various models complex processes. What lessons have been learned from splitbrain patients? How does converge with other methodologies, including advances neuroimaging gaining prominence field?
