摘要: Information on the feeding habits of species is essential to develop appropriate conservation actions. This study aimed assess spatial and temporal variation in diet Eurasian otter, Lutra lutra Anzali Wetland, through fecal stable isotope analysis. Seven main prey items were observed analysis 300 fresh spraints. The highest index was for fish, followed by snakes. Among fish consumed, preponderance Prussian carp (Carassius gibelio) pike (Esox lucius) white bream (Blicca bjoerkna). Results Shannon diversity suggest within between (p < 0.05); snakes, frogs, oriental river prawn (Macrobrachium nipponense) showed a seasonal variation. otter’s trophic level (TL) (3.79) higher than TLs other Wetland predators, such as pike. Bayesian mixing model source proportion contributions 49.5%, reptiles 16.7%, insects 14.8%, crustacean 10.5%, amphibians 4.3%, birds 4.1%, mollusks 0.1%. When considering only model, otters’ accounting 47%. Based results this study, otter plays an important role ecology ecosystem even though it preys exotic species, prawn.
