摘要: Inbred model organisms are powerful tools for genetic studies because they provide reproducible genomes use in mapping and manipulation. Generating inbred lines via sibling matings, however, is a costly undertaking that requires many successive generations of breeding, during which time fail. We evaluated several approaches accelerating inbreeding, including the systematic back-crosses marker-assisted breeder selection, we contrasted with randomized sib-matings. Using simulations, explored alternative breeder-selection methods monitored gain loss diversity, measured by number recombination-induced founder intervals, as function generation. For each approach simulated 100,000 independent to estimate distributions achieve full-fixation well mean heterozygosity level equal 20 sib-mating. Our analyses suggest fully status can be substantially reduced minimal impact on diversity through combinations parental backcrossing inbreeding. Although simulations do not consider all confounding factors underlying inbreeding process, such fecundity, our models viable alternatives process.
